Guldgubbar is small pieces of gold with an embossed pattern, most commonly depicting couples or lovers.
Their meaning is unknown but they are believed to have been amulets or offerings. The thin plates are quite small in size, normally measuring around 1 -2 cm, and are most commonly made out of gold.
The word Guldgubbe, or Gullgubbe, as they are also called, means little man of gold.
Even if our keychain is not made of gold, it has the classical motif of embracing lovers. Perhaps a perfect gift to a loved one?
The Guldgubbe measures 3 x 1,4 cm and is 9, 7 cm long with a chain.
